I am a practicing lawyer in the state of New Jersey since 1955. In the past 15 years, I have recognized a need for aid to disabled persons. This need, in my mind, was heightened greatly when I first started disability work by appearing at hearings and looking at persons waiting for their hearing who were so obviously disabled that it was incredible to think that persons such as they should have to go to such lengths to obtain their benefits.

I decided at that time to concentrate heavily on helping this type of individual to obtain social security disability as well as and/or SSI. Those who cannot work and who have paid their dues to our wonderful social security system should not have to be burdened by the necessity of being almost always rejected once or twice before they are hopefully, finally approved.

There are of course, those who are trying to get over on the system. However, experienced social security attorneys who have success, have the ability to determine which cases are legitimate. In my opinion, these far exceed those that are not and the results of my social security efforts have borne out that when we decide to represent a person they are very likely to achieve success.

The most important thing for people to recognize is that even if they think they are disabled, they are doing themselves a disservice by not filing for Social Security Disability. Further, if they are denied at an early stage, they cannot give up. My motto has always been, “Don’t Quit”, because many persons who have failed to retain an attorney and failed to go to the next step after a rejection, are doing themselves an injustice.
